That’s right folks, it’s one of those sneaky first Friday’s that land right on the first day of the month. That means it’s VHS NIGHT!

THE SWEEPER

The sweeper is a full tilt DTV actioner for the prolific PM Entertainment. Founded by indie filmmakers Rick Pepin and Joseph Merhi (The “P” and the “M” of “PM”), PM cranked out an impressive string of relentlessly entertaining genre fare throughout the 90’s.

The Sweeper doesn’t re-write the rules, but executes them to perfection. C. Thomas Howell plays a cop who doesn’t play by the rules, and…well, you know the drill. But, that’s not why we’re here, and holy shit does the sweeper deliver where it counts. It’s got wild stunts, explosions, car chases, explosions, one liners, explosions, and maybe best of all, C. Thomas Howell running around chewing scenery in a HOUSE OF PAIN baseball cap.
