4 Horror Trips, With A Bowie Detour
This week, we’ve got a hard to find gem from Daid Bowie, 3 body horror masterpieces, and Street Trash.
The Linguini Incident
You’d think that an off-kilter crime/comedy starring David Bowie and Rosanna Arquette would be better known, but years of rights issues left The Linguini Incident lost in relative obscurity. Thankfully, director Richard Shepard was able to secure rights to the film, and immediately set about remastering it into a definitive directors cut for a theatrical revival.
The Linguini Incident plays Friday (10/18) at 7:00, and Thursday (10/24) at 7:00. Tickets
The Substance Returns, alongside 3 Body Horror Classics
We’ve been fans of Coralie Fargeat since her knockout debut feature Revenge, so we we’re thrilled that her sophomore film was equally, if not more, incredible. This will be the second time we’ve brought The Substance back for encore shows, and this time it’s bringing friends.
In addition to The Substance, we’ll have shows of Julia Ducournau’s tender, repulsive, and indefinable Titane; David Cronenberg’s genre defining, intellectual feast Videodrome, and J. Michael Muro’s goopy, shock cinema oddity Street Trash.
The Substance, Titane, Videodrome, and Street Trash play various times Friday (10/18) through Wednesday (10/23). Tickets
On the horizon
We just locked down the last week of October, and it’s got everything from life-sized-puppet horror, to a film Q&A, to Taiwanese horror comedy. Check out the coming soon page for details. November bookings are still in the works, but we just announced shows of Dinner in America and tickets are going fast. You can pick them up here.
