Horror Pretzels
Cheese Sauce…
This week, we teamed up with the newly opened Gift Bar to offer fresh baked pretzel bites alongside their house made cheese sauce. They also whipped up a couple special popcorn seasonings, including Ramen, Chocolate-caramel, and the ambiguous (but tasty) “Gift Spice.” The extra options will be on offer through Thursday (Oct 3).
…and movies
In addition to supplying delicious queso, Gift also chose a few films that felt right with a side of pretzels. We’ve got the 90’s haunted-house-in-space spectacle Event Horizon, the ridiculously charming (and bloody) horror-comedy Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil, and… whatever it is that Nicolas Cage is doing in Vampires Kiss.
Shows run at various times throughout the week. You can find the full schedule here.
Doctor Sleep: Directors Cut
Monday (9/30), Paracinema returns with the director’s cut of Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep. If you wrote the film off because, let’s be honest, a sequel to The Shining sounds like a terrible idea, do yourself a favor and check this one out. Flanagan (Haunting of Hill House) put together a horror epic that manages the seemingly impossible task of being an excellent follow-up to both the 1980 film and King’s original book, while still making for a great standalone experience.
Doctor Sleep plays Monday (9/30) at 7:00. Tickets
The Substance
We’ve been big fans of director Coralie Fargeat ever since we saw her debut feature Revenge, and we’re thrilled that the turnout for her second film, THE SUBSTANCE, has been so good. It’s a hell of a ride, and we’ve still got a few shows left if you’re curious what all the talk is about.
THE SUBSTANCE plays various times through October 3. Tickets
