Encore, Encore!
Definitely late on this newsletter, but we’ve got a good excuse. We’re about to play a bunch of movies. So, so many movies. Let’s get right to it:
July 8-14: a24 Encore
After the great response to the A24 Studio Showcase, we had all the excuses we needed to do it again. From July 8 through 14, we’ve got another week of standout films from the indie studio, including glaring omissions like The Witch, a one-night-only return of Everything Everywhere All at Once, and some personal favorites like American Honey and Eighth Grade.
Most notably, we’ll be running the director’s cut of Ari Aster’s (Hereditary) sun drenched nightmare, Midsommar. This show is easily on track to sell out, so pre-purchase is advised.
July 8 & 9: MAD GOD Returns
When we booked Phil Tippett’s MAD GOD, we had no idea how popular it would be. We thought we were going out on a limb to play a movie we really believed in, and that we’d be lucky to break even. We were very wrong. MAD GOD came close to selling out every night, and we got another reminder of just how awesome our customers are.

From July 15 - 21, we’re going to celebrate our one-year anniversary the only way we know how: by playing bunch of movies. It’s all live on our website, but we haven’t started promotions yet and you’ll need to scroll down a bit to see it all.
We’ll send a proper newsletter all about it in a few days, but for now, we figured we’d give the head up to the small handful who actually read our overlong, rambling newsletters.
