WAM!
wonderful, glorious, weird-ass musicals
Cuz the beat's gettin' ready to pump
Yeah, we're gonna roll the hot rock
Voyage of the Rock Aliens is a joyous exercise in music video inspired excess. It has new wave aliens battling rockabilly street toughs, a chainsaw wielding serial killer, a mutated lake monster, and some seriously catchy music. It even opens with a music video for your new favorite Jeremaine Jackson song.

Get into the trance And join the apple dance
Set in the far future of 1994, The Apple is a musical where every song is a grand finale. It’s a movie so full of strange ideas and unflinching performances that it transcends traditional ideas of ‘good’ and ‘bad’, and becomes the kind of cinematic anomaly we love.

The Biggest THing since world war III
On release, audiences couldn’t tell who Rock & Rule was for. The music and themes were clearly intended for adults, but the cast of anthropomorphic rat-people looked awfully kid friendly. As a result, nobody saw Rock & Rule. That sucks. It’s a sci-fi oddity with great animation and standout music from Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Cheap Trick, and Debbie Harry.
We’re playing Rock & Rule off a laserdisc for the one-of-a-kind mix of old school video texture and pristine audio only Laserdisc offers.

Roll on thunder, shine on lightnin’, the days are long and the nights are frightnin’
Brian De Palma’s rock-opera reinvention may have come from classic literary roots, but the results are never dull. It’s a technically audacious film with an angry streak, subversive execution, and killer music.

What the world needs now is a shining hero
From Cinemagic favorite director Phillipe Mora (Howling III) comes a musical about a washed up, alcoholic superhero (Alan Arkin), who comes out of retirement to battle his arch nemesis Mr. Midnight (Christopher Lee).
