Stuff We’re Playing

Getting right to the point this week, because we’ve got some very cool (and very time consuming) projects on the horizon. We’ll have more to say soon, but for now, here’s some movies you can watch:

Star Wars Episodes 1, 2 and 3

For our second round of Star Wars films, we’re going back to the beginning. Or not, depending how you look at it.

The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith form an ambitious, epic space opera that puts George Lucas’s imaginative spirit on full display.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith will play multiple times March 17 through 22. Tickets

Hard Boiled

John Woo’s Hard Boiled is a solid drama with great performances from Chow Yun-fat and Tony Leung, but that’s not what sets it apart. Simply put: the action set-pieces in Hard Boiled are among the best ever filmed.

They may look like chaos, but they’re the result of meticulous work from talented people on both sides of the camera. Quentin Tarantino once said that action filmmakers are what he considers “real cinematic directors”, movies like Hard Boiled make it easy to see why.

Hard Boiled plays Thursday, March 23. Tickets

Finding Nemo

We originally planned to host Family Flicks about once a month, but it’s been going so well that we’ve upped the frequency to “whenever we can”.

This time we’re getting a little more modern with the Pixar’s Finding Nemo. Like usual, we’ll have $5 kid’s combos and coffee on hand for the noon show.

Finding Nemo plays Saturday, March 18 at noon. Tickets
