Film on Film

3 film classics presented in glorious 35mm

Before it became a globe-spanning action franchise, Mission: Impossible kicked things off with a laser focused espionage thriller from Brian de Palma (Carrie, Scarface). What it lacks in pyrotechnics, it more than makes up for with a sharp script, great performances, and tension to spare.

One Hour Photo is one of the few movies that are only available theatrically as a 35mm print. It’s got one of Robin Williams best performances as Sy Parrish, a photo clerk whose obsessive tendencies become dangerously focused on one family. It also features some truly striking imagery that we can’t wait to see in all its 35mm glory.

SLC Punk is a blast 90’s indie energy. Set in the 1980’s, the film follows Stevo (played wonderfully by a simultaneously manic and heartfelt Matthew Lillard) and his friends as they navigate life as young punks in conservative Salt Lake City. Also, because we’ve got an original print of the film, we’ll be playing the film with its original soundtrack, not the modified version featured on digital releases.
