A Casual Stroll to 500

For our one-year anniversary we ran an event called The March to 100, a 15 film sprint to our 100th film. Little did we know the tempo would only increase from there. On March 9th, we’re going to play our 500th film, and we’re taking the opportunity to play a few films we love that never seemed to fit the schedule.

With a sharp Tarantino script, the bravura direction of Tony Scott and an absolutely stacked cast, it’s no surprise the True Romance turned out to be one of the best films of the early 90’s.

Sunset Boulevard will be the first film we’ve played from writer/director Billy Wilder, and we’re a little embarrassed it took this long. For our 500th film, we’ve opted for Wilder’s pitch black comedy-noir Sunset Boulevard, if for no other reason than Gloria Swanson’s scene stealing performance.
